Packing List for Hurtigruten

A Realistic Packing List for the Norwegian Coastal Cruise (Free Checklist Included)

After sharing my Hurtigruten travel story here, I received so many messages asking what I packed. And I get it. Packing for this kind of trip is a bit different. The Norwegian coast is unpredictable. One minute it’s sunny and calm. The next, you’re walking through mist in a wool sweater.

So here it is. My honest and practical packing list for anyone planning a voyage with Hurtigruten. I’ve also included a free printable checklist at the end that you can use to prep with ease.

How I Packed

I packed everything in Bag-all’s Recycled Nylon Compression Packing Cubes and travel bags. These are my go-to for every trip. They save so much space and keep everything organized. I used our 8-pack set to separate layers, undergarments, shoes, and cozy onboard outfits. You can get yours monogrammed too if you want to add a personal touch.

I also brought:

The Round My Skincare Case for my face oils, serums, and creams

The Wet Beach Stuff Pouch for swimsuits after sauna time

Excellent idea to prepare properly — a packing list for a Hurtigruten voyage is a bit special because of the varied weather conditions along the Norwegian coast (even in summer!) and the casual, practical nature of life onboard. Here’s a suggested packing list, tailored for comfort, practicality, and readiness for excursions.

Wishing you the best voyage filled with calm seas, fresh waffles, and breathtaking views. Hurtigruten was one of the most magical trips I’ve taken. I hope yours is just as unforgettable.

xx,
Jennifer
